The final event of the Green-Tex and TEX-DAN projects, entitled “Weaving Circular Futures”, was held on 19 and 20 May 2026 in Budapest, bringing together project partners, experts and representatives of the textile and fashion sectors from across the Danube Region.
The first day of the event was dedicated to summarising project achievements, sustainable fashion, creativity and networking, featuring a fashion show by students of Obuda University and a networking dinner. On the second day, the joint final conference was held at Obuda University, where project results, examples of good practice and innovative solutions for advancing the circular economy in the textile industry were presented.
During the conference, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities related to sustainable textile production and consumption, digital solutions for textile waste collection, strengthening cooperation among partners, as well as future steps towards a greener and more resilient textile industry in the Danube Region.
The event was organised by the lead partners of the two projects – the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency from Hungary – together with Obuda University and the Blue Planet Climate Protection Foundation.
