SERDA Participated in the 6th Danube Wood(s) Route Project Partners Meeting in Belgrade

The first day featured a Capitalisation Event dedicated to presenting the achievements of projects funded under the first and second calls of the Interreg Danube Region Programme and exchanging experiences on the development of sustainable and marketable tourism products across the Danube Region. The presentations highlighted the importance of cooperation among projects, networking between relevant institutions, and the joint development of innovative approaches that contribute to the preservation and promotion of the region's cultural and natural heritage.

The second day was dedicated to the 6th Project Partners Meeting, during which participants reviewed the progress of project implementation, presented the results achieved by all partners, and agreed on the next steps and planned activities for the upcoming implementation period. Particular attention was given to Activities A3.1 and A3.3, focusing on the organisation of transnational weekends and the preparation of the application for the certification of the Danube Wood(s) Route.

In addition to the working sessions, the host organised a guided tour of Belgrade's most significant cultural and historical landmarks, providing participants with an opportunity to explore the city's rich cultural heritage and learn about examples of its interpretation and promotion as a tourist destination. Such activities further strengthen the exchange of experiences among project partners and represent an important component of international cooperation within the project.

The Danube Wood(s) Route project is funded by the Interreg Danube Region Programme and aims to develop a sustainable international cultural route that connects the rich wood heritage, traditional craftsmanship, and natural assets of the Danube Region, thereby contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage and the sustainable development of tourism.
