During the meeting, partners presented the progress achieved by their URBACT Local Groups, exchanged experiences and discussed the next steps in the process of transferring good practice. SERDA representatives presented the activities carried out in Canton Sarajevo, with particular emphasis on the work of the local group.

A key focus of the meeting was gaining a better understanding of target groups, their needs, motivations and challenges in the labour market. Through an empathy mapping workshop, partners explored the perspectives of different target groups, while tools for needs assessment and data collection were presented, including Nyíregyháza’s experience in assessing employers’ needs. The results of study visits to partner cities, the Transfer Study and opportunities to adapt the transferred model in other regions were also discussed.

On the second day, a study visit was organized to the Swedish company “Derome” and its innovation project “Pilen”, where participants were introduced to an example of cooperation between educational institutions and businesses, linking educational programmes with employers’ needs, as well as practices related to sustainable construction, renewable materials and innovation.

By participating in the meeting, SERDA continued contributing to the exchange of international experience and the development of approaches that can strengthen cooperation between public institutions, the education system and the private sector in Canton Sarajevo.

The Network4Work project is implemented under the Interreg URBACT IV 2021-2027 programme and aims to address labour market challenges by strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.
