The Networking Day and Culinary Competition was held at the premises of the ProReha Association in Vogošća, bringing together training participants and their mentors, as well as representatives of the public, hospitality and tourism sectors, along with project partners from the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA), Slovakia.

During the event, the results of the pilot activity were presented, which included education of 12 young persons with disabilities in field of culinary and the slow food concept, with the support of mentors – renowned BiH chefs Safet Salihović, Miran Karić and Nermin Hodžić.

A culinary competition followed, during which participants demonstrated their acquired knowledge and skills by preparing slow food dishes inspired by traditional ingredients and recipes from the Bjelašnica and Nišićka plateau areas, as well as modern dishes based on microgreens, edible flowers and other local specialties.

At the end of the event, participants received certificates of successful completion of the training, marking the conclusion of the pilot activity and confirming their efforts, dedication and progress throughout the program.

The aim of the pilot activity was to train and support the employment of young persons with disabilities in the hospitality and slow food tourism sectors by providing them with skills and knowledge that enable their equal inclusion in work processes, with a special emphasis on inclusion, sustainability and preservation of local gastronomic traditions.

SERDA will continue its socially responsible activities, creating new chances and opportunities for people with disabilities.
