EWESE Hackathon presents ideas that connect creativity and entrepreneurship

The Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA, in cooperation with the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, successfully organized the EWESE Hackathon, held on 29 and 30 September at the Centre of Excellence in Entrepreneurship – Vila Braun, located at Alipašina 45.

The Hackathon was attended by 20 female entrepreneurs, students and young creatives, gathered in teams that developed new business ideas and creative concepts through practical work, collaboration and mentorship support. During the program, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences, shaped their ideas and worked in a productive and open atmosphere that encouraged creativity and teamwork.

At the end of the event, the teams presented their projects to an expert jury, which selected the three most successful teams. The winning teams received vouchers for IT equipment worth 3.000 KM, 2.000 KM and 1.000 KM.

EWESE Hackathon served as an opportunity for collaboration and inspiration, where participants shared knowledge, experiences and skills, connecting creativity, innovation and sustainability. The event showed the importance of creativity, cooperation and the exchange of ideas for the development of women’s entrepreneurship and innovation in the cultural and creative industries, and emphasized the value of creating spaces where women can develop their business ideas, learn from one another and build supportive networks.

The project “Empowerment of women entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the CCI and fashion sectors in a sustainable perspective – EWESE” is implemented in partnership with the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA, the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, Polo Tecnologico Alto Adriatico Andrea Galvani SCPA and Centro di Formazione Professionale A. Simonini from Italy, with co-financing from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region. The aim of the project is to strengthen female entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable business models in the cultural and creative industries and fashion sectors.
