BIOSTARS stakeholder meeting in Sarajevo

The Sarajevo Regional Development Agency (SERDA) organized a stakeholder meeting on 14 November 2025 as part of the BIOSTARS project. The event brought together representatives of local authorities, public utility companies, civil society organizations, and local businesses, with the goal of fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of sustainable and circular bioeconomy.

During the meeting, the BIOSTARS project was presented, including its ongoing activities and achieved results. The identified needs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with matching opportunities for replication, were shared with participants, providing a comprehensive overview of local needs and development potential in the sector.

In a constructive discussion, participants analyzed the current state of the circular bioeconomy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and explored opportunities for developing social innovations that can contribute to sustainable local growth. The insights gathered during the meeting will play a key role in shaping recommendations for the document “Matching Needs of BIOSTARS Transfer Territories.”

The organization of such events underscores SERDA’s commitment to promoting innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions and actively supporting the advancement of local communities in line with the objectives of the BIOSTARS project.
