BiH Blue Excellence HUB Launching event

One of the initial activities of the project is the establishment of six regional centers of excellence in Greece, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. These centers will foster innovation by supporting advanced technological solutions in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Biotechnology. These innovations will benefit blue economy sectors, including marine energy, sustainable aquaculture, maritime transport and shipbuilding. SERDA will coordinate the establishment of the BiH Blue Center of Excellence, which will bring together relevant institutions, such as decision-makers, industry representatives, academia and civil society. The participants of the event were presented with the activities of the BiH Blue Center of Excellence, which will provide support through capacity building, access to financing, availability of innovative technologies, knowledge exchange and networking, increased visibility, access to talent and expansion into new markets. The online event brought together a large number of relevant stakeholders, who expressed interest in joining the BiH Blue Center of Excellence.

The Sarajevo regional development agency SERDA implements the project Adriatic-Ionian Alliance for a Sustainable Blue Economy - ABBA, and the associated partner in the project is the Ministry of Transport of the Canton of Sarajevo. The project is financed by the European Union within the framework of the Interreg IPA ADRION program and is aimed at encouraging sustainable blue growth in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The main goal of the project is to use the potential of advanced technologies in support of small and medium-sized enterprises and startups in the blue economy sector.
