On 20 May 2026, a presentation of the PROSPERO and EWESE projects was held at the premises of the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA for CHERRY project partners from Italy, Finland, Romania, Latvia, Hungary, Greece, France, Belgium, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, SERDA’s activities and experience in the implementation of cultural and creative initiatives were presented, along with the results of projects contributing to the strengthening of the cultural and creative industries (CCI) sector in Canton Sarajevo.
The presentation of the PROSPERO project highlighted the links with the CHERRY project, given that both projects are being implemented within the Interreg Europe programme and that there is synergy in their objectives and activities related to the improvement of CCI policies, as well as potential for future cooperation through peer learning and exchange of experiences among partners.
The results achieved so far through the PROSPERO project were also presented, including the development of CCI territorial analyses, identification of good practices, organisation of OMC group meetings and interregional partner meetings, among which the PIM3 meeting in Sarajevo was particularly highlighted.
In addition, the project “Empowerment of women entrepreneurship in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the CCI and fashion sectors from a sustainable perspective – EWESE” was presented, which was implemented with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region through its international development programme. Within the project, training workshops, networking activities and a Hackathon competition were organised, bringing together young female entrepreneurs and creatives and supporting their business ideas through education, mentoring and valuable IT awards.
The meeting confirmed the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experiences in the development of cultural and creative industries.
