As highlighted during the presentation, the EmployVET project represents a comprehensive regional initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation between vocational education providers and employers in the Western Balkans. The focus is on developing skills relevant to the changing demands of the labor market, with a particular emphasis on the need for green and digital skills in the context of a dual transition. The project focuses on building the capacity of employers' organizations and VET providers in order to strengthen the cooperation and involvement of employers in the design and implementation of vocational education programs.

During the meeting, the Joint Focus Group discussed the advantages and disadvantages of vocational education systems in partner countries, identifying key benefits and challenges of cooperation between educational institutions and employers in the vocational education sector. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of connecting employers and vocational education to adapt to the demands of the global market shaped by rapid technological changes and workforce migration.

The knowledge and opinions gathered from this meeting will be crucial for creating a document that will serve as a guide for further development of training capacities and campaigns within the EmployVET project. In addition, it will be a valuable tool for partners in their advocacy efforts with policy makers to strengthen employer participation in vocational education and training (VET).
