At the beginning of the meeting, partners presented their cities and institutions, as well as the key employment challenges they face at the local level. Particular focus was placed on mapping these challenges and exchanging experiences among partner cities through interactive workshops and discussions. As part of the programme, a good practice from Nyíregyháza, the Local Employment Forum was presented, which serves as a platform for coordinating institutions, employers and other relevant stakeholders with the aim of improving the local labour market. Through workshops and analysis of this model, partners explored possibilities for adapting it to their own local contexts.

A study visit to LEGO company was also organised, where participants had the opportunity to learn about good practices in linking the economy, education and the labour market.

By participating in this meeting, SERDA contributed to the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of international cooperation among project partners. Through the activities of the project “Network4Work”, partners will work in the coming period on establishing URBACT local groups, analysing the needs of local communities and preparing Transfer plans, which will enable the implementation of the transferred good practice in local employment policies and sustainable labour market solutions.

The “Network4Work” project is implemented within the Interreg URBACT IV 2021-2027 programme and is focused on addressing employment and labour market development challenges at the local level through the transfer and application of proven European good practices. The project particularly aims to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as develop more effective local employment policies.
